Spiritual Thoughts

A mortal with faith and principles who believes in the "language of kindness" and the "culture of respect".

My interpretation of spiritualism is when a person has "love", "patience", "peace", "truth" and "justice" in one's heart. These are also considered as the five pillars of any righteous character according to the Bhagavad Gita. Spiritualism for me is more about understanding ourself than to focus on spirits. Spiritualism in this sense helps to gain control over our senses and to deal better with daily life challenges.

When we understand how the smallest of our actions may influence a chain of people around us, we begin to think not just about ourselves, our family, our work, our happiness and our desires but also about others in the society. When any work is done with conviction, without the expectations of results and with the thought of benefitting others, it benefits not just the society but also the doer.

"We only have the right to our work and not to its results. Therefore, it is neither advisable to give up our work nor to expect any results for the same." - Bhagavad Gita
