Decisions & Mind

This is my Understanding of Decisions and Mind that comes from my Experiences and by Applying the Principles of Bhagavad Gita in my Life.

Every moment of our life is a decision-making moment. On each step of life, we have to decide about our next step and the decisions we take transmit back its impacts. Our today's decisions influence the future joy and sorrow, not just for ourselves but also for our families and the coming generations. Whenever we are confronted with a problem, we usually become tensed and uncertain, as the moment of decision making becomes a battle, and our mind becomes a battlefield. Does this not happen? Most of the decisions we take are not to find a solution to the problem, but rather to only try and relax our mind. However, is it possible to run and eat food at the same time? Hence, would a mind that is going through a battle be able to make any capable decision? In reality, when we make decisions with a peaceful mind, we create a satisfactory future for ourself. However, when we make decisions to satisfy our mind, don't we end up constructing a miserable future for ourself?

What do you think about it?

"We only have the right to our work and not to its results. Therefore, it is neither advisable to give up our work nor to expect any results for the same." - Bhagavad Gita
